I’ve posted Entry #105 to my weekly Investing: The New Rules column at the Death by 1,000 Papercuts site. It’s titled How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
Juicy Excerpt: When the Goons made a suggestion that lawsuits might be brought against John for hosting my words (remember, there are lots of Big Shots on Wall Street who have a lot of money riding on you not finding out about what the last 30 years of research says), his tone turned a few degrees cooler. He said: “The last I checked, SOPA/PIPA is not the law of the land. I’m not scared of ideas, so my conscience is clear.”
Fair enough. But is he still my friend? Is he still inclined to help me spread the word? Or does he now think it might make more sense to take a hands-off attitude and wait to see if I make it on my own?
The Goons were yucking it up after they saw those words. They think they’ve won another round.
