I’ve posted Entry #99 to my weekly Investing: The New Rules column at the Death by 1,000 Papercuts site. It’s called My Plan to Earn $200 Million by Posting Stuff on the Internet.
Juicy Excerpt: We need to provide financial incentives for people to warn investors of the dangers of Buy-and-Hold and to encourage them to shift to Valuation-Informed Indexing strategies.
The headline sounds funny because we all know how hard it it to make a buck on the internet. The idea of being able to make $200 million of the little buggers defies belief.
But here’s the thing. Salaries in excess of $1 million are common on Wall Street. $200 million is not a big number for truly groundbreaking work in this field.

So….
from posting blather that no one reads or comments on, at a few weird little corners of the internet…
then, [garble garble LOST CARRIER #@!##$!%#$^]…
then, $200 million payday!!!!
So, we learn in this episode that Bennett is a member of the Underpants Gnomes Society:

Within five minutes of hitting the “Submit” button on that one, I knew that I had gotten the number wrong!
It should have been “$500 million.” For reasons obvious to those who have been paying some attention to the first 10 years of our internet discussions on the realities of stock investing.
Please take good care, my long-time abusive posting friend.

Sad…that you write a column and can’t answer the most basic question about it.
Rob says
That’s why they call it the Valley of Tears, Kimber.
