I explained in an earlier podcast that I believe that most Passive Investing advocates are suffering from cognitive dissonance and thus are not able to accept that the investing strategy they recommend has been discredited. In this podcast I give my thoughts as to how Dallas Morning News Columnist Scott Burns would respond to a number of questions about Passive Investing if he were speaking in full candor.

It’s an odd one. I think that the question of why the “experts” are behaving as they are is of critical importance. So I think about that one a lot. This was intended as a mental exercise to be employed to force me to think through a good number of smaller issues that relate in some way to that big one.
I don’t see anything earth-shaking in it. But I think that listening to the podcast may provide some clues that might ultimately prove helpful in solving one of the most important mysteries.
