I’ve posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Control Your Cash site titled Index Funds Don’t Work in Bear Markets.
Juicy Except: This approach (Valuation-Informed Indexing) sounds so easy and so rewarding and so rooted in common sense. Why doesn’t Mike Piper follow it? Why doesn’t everybody follow it?

index funds are not an asset class
No. they’re a vegetable.
But everybody knows that!

Amazing, Bennett.
A reader (rare in and of itself!) comments (rarer still!) to point out an unassailably accurate point regarding a misconception that you are harboring, rendering your article’s entire premise faulty. Instead of thanking them, or correcting your ridiculous writing, or (best choice, here) retracting it altogether and admitting you are a failure, you instead break out the patented, much-worn Bennett Passive Aggressive Smarm Machine.
I know that type of childish reaction makes you feel momentarily satisfied, but how do you think that looks to anyone naive enough to actually still be trying to take you seriously?
Sketchy?

Rob,
Thanks for sharing this article with our readers.
Thanks for your kindness in saying that, Betty.
Seeing your note brought a nice measure of cheer to my Tuesday morning.
Please take care.
