I’ve posted Entry #483 to my weekly Valuation-Informed Indexing column at the Value Walk site. It’s called Shiller’s Pointing to the Trump Phenomenon As an Explanation of Today’s High Stock Prices Is Unconvincing.
Juicy Excerpt: Today’s high prices are the result of a misplaced acceptance of bad science, not the result of a rejection of science in favor of gut feelings.

“Shiller’s Pointing to the Trump Phenomenon As an Explanation of Today’s High Stock Prices Is Unconvincing”
Thank you for this timely article.
Today’s CAPE is 24, Evidence. That’s a sky-high number.
The fact that you do not see that gives away the game. We all possess a Get Rich Quick/Buy-and-Hold impulse within us. Overcoming that impulse is 70 percent of what it takes to achieve long-term investing success. If our Wall Street Con Men friends spent 70 percent of their energies helping us to overcome that impulse, none of us would ever become so confused as to think that a CAPE of 24 was not a scary number. We need to open up every site on the internet to honest posting re the last 39 years of peer-reviewed research.
My best and warmest wishes to you and yours.
