Set forth below is the text of a comment that I recently posted to the discussion thread for another blog entry at this site:
“ I think it will happen, Anonymous. But we will just have to wait and see.”
It has been 20 years and you are now 65 years old. It’s too late. Money is not going to drop out of the sky. You need money now.
Woe is me. What a predicklement.

So what is the plan if you don’t get a dime of the $500 million and you can’t get a job? This is not a game.
What is YOUR plan if stocks continue to perform in the future somewhat as they have always performed in the past? Spending the remaining years of one’s life in a prison cell is not a fun idea.
I’ll do what I can to get along. So will all the rest of the non-Goons. We’ve taken hits before and gotten back up again. I think that is what will happen this time too. The big difference is that we move forward over time. We acknoeledge mistakes and move on. That’s where you Goons got on the wrong path, your unwillingness to acknowledge a mistake when it was brought to light by the peer-reviewed research.
I naturally wish you all the best that this life has to offer a person regardless of what investment strategy you elect to pursue, Anonymous.

If stock continues to perform like it has, my $6 million will be substantially higher. I already have more than enough, so my only proble is figuring out what to do with substantially more money. You haven’t really answered answered my question. Why is that?

I guess you better stop with all the criminal stuff so that you don’t go to prison………..unless prison is your retirement plan since they give you housing, food and clothing.
Okay, Anonymous.
I naturally wish you all good things, in any event.

Not really a plan when you are in your 60’s. It’s now to late to say you will wait to see how it will all turn out. We see how it played out. It failed.
It’s about 500 times better than betraying my friends and then not knowing how I am going to be able to sleep at night, Anonymous. I had posted with a good number of people at the Motley Fool board for three years and had gotten to know them and to care about what happened to them.
Do you see?
