Set forth below is the text of an e-mail that I sent on Jan. 7, 2020, to Conrad Black (author of the article How Trump Can Sort Out the Middle East):
Conrad:
My name is Rob Bennett. I enjoy the independent spirit that you evidence in your articles. I would be grateful if you would take a look at the article (“Buy-and-Hold Is Dangerous”) linked to below and see if it pulls you in.

Conrad wrote me an e-mail on Jan. 29, 2020, saying:
No, it doesn’t.
There is nothing like the housing bubble now. The US will have to cut the federal deficit, but the welfare costs are shrinking with full employment and the end of illegal immigration, and Trump has bitten the defense bullet. He may have to raise federal sales taxes on non-essential spending, but the US economy, and the country’s socio-economic state are sharply improved.
Best wishes,
Conrad Black
I responded in the same day, saying:
Okay.

“ No, it doesn’t.”
Not surprised to see that response.

You can’t win them all, right?
